A dry, gusty, wind that carries warmed air down the Rocky Mountains into the mountains' eastern slopes and the western prairies.

A sudden violent sustained increase of wind often with rain, snow, or sleet.

Cirrus

Cirrus clouds are wispy white high-altitude cloud formations composed of ice crystals.They are the highest of the main cloud genera.

Katabatic 

Downslopewinds created when the mountain surface is colder than the surrounding air and creates a down slope wind.

Ridge 

An elongated area of relatively high pressure extending from the center of a high-pressure region.Air sinks within a ridge and brings warmer and drier weather.
